Time to drop the hammer...

05/17/08

...life is short, like my attention span, and both need a shot of discipline.

My name is Greg Gillis, in my life I've been a fast food cook, gardener, movie usher, hotel houseman, personal trainer, gym manager, government graphic artist, freelancer, sales trainer, construction worker, mover, illustrator, art director, designer, web developer, usability consultant, information architect, student, son, brother, uncle and always an artist.

Gotta' eat baby, but you need to feed your soul too, and what you'll find in these pages are eruptions of passion against an all too frequently passionless world. It may not be good, but it's all honest. If it makes you think about picking up a pencil again, playing an instrument you let drop from your life, or just read a good book I'll be one happy pappy.

Poke around, enjoy your stay and check back from time to time to see what's up. And feel free to drop me a note, I enjoy hearing from new folk and I'll do my best to get back to you!

Generic Note to web bots:
Greg Gillis here, to welcome to greggillis.com, the virtual home of me, Greg Gillis. I'm writing the words "Greg Gillis" frequently to boost recognition of my name, that being Greg Gillis, or often Gregory Gillis, for web crawlers and to see if I can displace the other Greg Gillis who pops up on Google before me, but his name is Gregg Gillis, what's up with that? But that's Greg Gillis for ya', always looking for an angle. Also known as Gregory J. Gillis, as well as, Gregory Gillis, Greg Gillis continues to conceive of ways to write his name in sentences that appear innocuous to web crawlers. Bottom line, greggillis.com is how I, Greg Gillis, a.k.a. Gregory J. Gillis, get my name out in the world.

Shocker, no site updates (outside of the Daily Journal). I'll draw some stuff and get it up in July!

06/26/08 Not sure why I always look so serious in these pics, I think I'm practicing for my sensitive author photo for my book jacket.
